2011 Senior Citizen Gallery























The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc. and La Casa Bienvenida’s First Annual Senior Fashion Show.
With the participation of one hundred invited guest, the Hispanic Coalition and La Casa Bienvenida celebrated their first annual senior fashion show at the River Baldwin Recreational Center in Waterbury. The first edition of the fashion show, presented the models, Luz Baez, Hilda Batista, Rosario Camacho, Felicita Capo, Rosalia Castillo, Julia Castro, Carmen Flores, Blanca Gonzalez, Flor Gonzalez, Blanca Maldonado, Quintin Maldonado, Josefina Martinez, Dominga Mulero, Eridia Nieto, Maria Ortiz, Leonor Perez, Antonia Paterson, Crucita Rodriguez, Victor Rodriguez, Angela Torres, and Brigida Vargas.
The escorts and volunteers were Jimmy Plaza and Cruz Torres; the masters of ceremony were Victor Lopez and Yoelie Iglesias; there was also a musical presentation by the Cultural Arts Academy’s guitar pupils, under the direction of instructor Francisco Quintana.
The event was dedicated to the loving memory of Mrs. Hilda Ramos who passed away days before the event. The Executive Director of the Hispanic Coalition, Angelica Medina and the Director of La Casa Bienvenida, Nancy Gonzalez are extremely grateful to all the volunteers, sponsors, board of directors, and especially the Coalition’s staff Miriam Echevarria; Case Manager, and Aradis Akhter; Program Director.
