The Cultural Arts Academy Program provides middle
school aged children with after-school programming to help advance their knowledge of the Latino culture through art, music, and dance. This program is
funded by the Connecticut Community Foundation.
Social Coaches is a mentoring program where mentors
are paired with children from the ages 6 through 14 who present social, emotional or complex behavioral problems. These children/youth may be D.C.F. involved
either through Protective or Voluntary services. The funding for this program is provided by the Department of Children and Families and a partnership with
Connecticut Junior Republic.
Case Management Program provides services for
all individuals and families in the community. It assists with securing essential records and benefits, ie; birth certificate, citizenship, DDS, DSS, SSI
It provides advocacy, intervention, and translation when needed. We assess need and provide resources, information and referral to families in the Greater
Waterbury area. Funding for this program comes from the City of Waterbury, and Connecticut Community Foundation.
Respite Program is a contract with the Department
of Disability Services to provide recreational counseling, assistance, and guidance for a physically or mentally disabled individual. The services are provided
at home on site or in the community. Clients receive job counseling, recreational services, and assistance to help him or her to improve their quality of
life.
Entre Familia is a Hispanic Support Group that
meets every last Thursday of the month where families have the opportunity to have Supper together and discuss opportunities, concerns and resources
available to them in the community.
Mi Vida-Tu Futuro /Youth Leadership
A youth support group run by youth meets every last Thursday of the month, where middle school and High School youth have open discussion about topics
that concern them. Facilitated by an young Adult.
