Programs

Cultural Arts Academy Program provides middle school aged children with after-school programming to help children advance their knowledge of the Latino culture through art, music, and dance. This program is funded by YouthNET which is a joint project of Connecticut Community Foundation and United Way of Waterbury.


Social Coaches is a mentoring program where mentors are paired with children from the ages 6 through 14 who present social, emotional or complex behavioral problems. These children/youth may be D.C.F. involved either through Protective or Voluntary services. The funding for this program is provided by the Department of Children and Families.


Respite Program is a contract with the Department of Mental Retardation to provide recreational counseling, assistance, and guidance for a mentally retarded Hispanic male. The services are provided at home. The client receives job counseling, recreational services, and assistance to help him to be successful in school.


Referral & advocacy Program provides referral services and case management services for Hispanic families.
