Angélica María Medina


Executive Director

Angelica Medina has been an active member of the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc for the past 15 years. She is a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent from Carolina and Catano, Puerto Rico. Her educational background is in Early Childhood Education.

Angelica participates in several community coalitions, councils and boards. These organizations include the following: New Opportunities for Waterbury, Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, Homeless Coalition, Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging, Family Services of Greater Waterbury, and the Stay Well Health Center Food Resource Coalition.

Welcome and thank you for visiting our website. I look forward to the opportunity to work closely with the Board of Directors, the Greater Waterbury Community to better serve the ever-growing Hispanic population. I look forward to establishing the Cultural/Arts program, which is a much needed and enjoyable program for our youth. I look forward to bringing tutorial/training programs, advocating, and pursuing health and educational awareness services for our children, families, and elders.

I fully understand that there is vital work to be done in the community and I am confident that the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, Inc will work collaboratively with the community, state and federal partners to help better serve our ever-growing Hispanic family.

5th Annual Bianca Hernandez-Melendez Golf Tournament & Dinner
Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Western Hills Golf Course located at 600 Park Road, Waterbury, CT 06706. Registration due by Monday September 13th 2010. his will be the 5th and final year of the golf tournament so please come and join us. More info to come soon.
FREE CITIZENSHIP WORKSHOP
Wednesday May 12th at 6:00 pm and learn how you or a loved one can apply for U.S. citizenship. Sponsored by: The International Institute of Connecticut, The Shrine of St. Anne, and The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury.
2010 Annual Coqui Awards Banquet
On Friday October 8th at 7pm The Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury will be hosting our Annual Coqui Awards Banquet at The Villa Rosa in Waterbury, CT. Tickets are $45.00 per person and must be purchased in advance by calling (203) 754-6172.
